Diepsloot police welcomes 10 years imprisonment sentence of a house robber accused

Police spokesperson said that Tshuma was traced and later arrested the on same night of the incident.

Diepsloot Police Station spokesperson Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said the hard work and dedication of officers to bring perpetrators of crime to book was yielding fruit.

This was after Randburg Magistrate’s Court sentenced 46-year-old Richard Tshuma to 10 years of imprisonment after he was found guilty of house robbery on August 30.

Mathebula said Tshuma and his two accomplices who were still at large broke into a house in Diepsloot Ext 5 in March 2020 and robbed a man of his cellphone which the accused had sold to him.
He said Tshuma was arrested on the same night of the incident.
