O Kae Molao operation in Douglasdale sees 45 arrested

One of the suspects arrested in the operation was for assault to cause grievous bodily harm.

Another police operation yielded more than 40 arrests in the Douglasdale policing precinct.

Douglasdale police, alongside other units and stations of the Johannesburg District, held a multidisciplinary O Kae Molao Operation on September 1.
Other stakeholders involved on the day included Gauteng Traffic, JMPD and Home Affairs.
Douglasdale police spokesperson Captain Mpho Tshetlhane thanked all the role players who supported the operation.

“The police also visited liquor outlets to ensure compliance. Traffic fines were also issued. One suspect was arrested for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Forty-four undocumented persons were also arrested.

“About 250 pamphlets were also distributed to raise awareness on hijackings, house robberies, contact crime, domestic and gender-based violence,” she said.
