Beaulieu striker ‘Seales’ the deal for South Africa

Jamie Seale of Beaulieu College received his first national cap in the U18A boys’ side, where he scored two goals to help bring home a series win against Namibia.

A Beaulieu Hockey Academy player shone brightly in a tournament against Namibia from July 10 to 13.

Beaulieu College Grade 12 learner Jamie Seale was called up to the SA U18 A schools side for the Allistar Fredericks Africa Schools Challenge in which three matches were played against Namibia in Stellenbosch. The SA U18 boys and girls teams won each match to win the series in a clean sweep.

Jamie, who is also the first team captain for Beaulieu College contributed two goals to the boys’ collective total of 21. The girls U18A team won their matches 3–1, 3–2 and 4–0.

Beaulieu Hockey Academy also sent their congratulations to Beaulieu College learner Tamika Kock for making the U18B South Africa girls’ team.

The U18 boys’ scores were as follows for the three days:

  • July 10: SA 4 – 0 Namibia
  • July 11: SA 10 – 1 Namibia
  • July 12: SA 7 – 0 Namibia
