Customers also used social media platforms to denounce the unruly behaviour of amateur videographers.

A large number of teenagers were reported to have entered Montecasino on the evening of June 25 causing chaos around the facility among customers.

It is unclear what took place at the venue as many speculations continue to flood social media. Teens, who call themselves ‘Luh Twizzy’ were present at Montecasino and took to video-app TikTok days before to call on others to join in that evening. Videos of the chaos were posted online during and after their visit.

Montecasino released a statement online where they apologised to community members who may have been negatively affected by the behaviour of the teenage group.

“Montecasino would like to apologise to any of their customers that had an unpleasant experience, caused by the Saturday night influx of ‘tweenagers’ wanting to film a local music video stream. Montecasino will be on the lookout for any similar future activity and we have put stringent plans in place to exercise the right of admission.

“Montecasino has always taken pride in having created an environment that is family friendly and open to all. They would like to thank their community and guests for their support, understanding and concern which ensures that they continue to provide a safe and exciting family experience,” read the statement.
