A police sergeant was released on R3 000 bail after appearing in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on June 22.
Thulani Monageng (43) allegedly shot at his girlfriend from inside the house in Ext 5 after she attempted to break the door open, according to spokesperson for Diepsloot Police Station, Captain Tinyiko Mathebula.
“It is alleged that Monageng’s girlfriend visited him in Ext 5 on June 20 and allegedly caught him with another woman in the house. He then fired one shot at her, but she escaped unscathed.”
The suspect was arrested the same night and then charged with attempted murder under domestic violence.
