Father’s Day market hosted in Lonehill
The market saw many businesses put their products on display.
On a warm sunny day on June 19, Namaskar Wellness Hub in conjunction with a clothing and apparel store, Bhodi Tree Lonehill, hosted a Father’s Day market in Lonehill.
Jackie van Vuuren, one of the market organisers, said, “This one [market] for me is about bringing the community together, it’s about creating a space where like-minded people can come together and just share.”
There was a variety of activities throughout the day, including tug of war and storytime for the little ones. Attendees could also sit down and listen to music.
Stalls sold different items such as homemade jams hand-crafted bags, clothing, plants and more.
First-time market attendee Katiana Brancato said she enjoyed it and would definitely attend the next one.
According to Van Vuuren, Namaskar hosted a similar market last year in August. She hopes to keep this market going because it has a lot of potential.
