Douglasdale police arrest 18 suspects

The 18 suspects arrested by Douglasdale police will soon appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.

From June 10 to 12, Douglasdale police conducted operations throughout the area which saw 18 people arrested.

Spokesperson for Douglasdale Police Station Captain Mpho Tshetlhane said, “The suspects were arrested for crimes ranging from robbery, possession of drugs, possession of dagga, tampering with essential infrastructure, malicious damage to property, dealing in liquor without a licence, and drunk driving.”

Those arrested would appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
Police continue to encourage community members to keep reporting all criminal activities in their areas by phoning the station on 011 699 1300 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Alternatively, they can use the MySAPS app to send anonymous tip-offs or go to the nearest police station.
