A 22-year-old murder suspect, Teboho Miya, was remanded in custody after he briefly appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on May 3.
Diepsloot police spokesperson Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said, “A 22-year-old male suspect was arrested on April 30 after handing himself over to the police, for murder he is alleged to have committed on April 29 in Diepsloot, Ext 1.
It is alleged that the suspect stabbed a 30-year-old victim to death with a knife following an argument between the deceased and the suspect.
“The victim sustained multiple stab wounds on his chest and he was declared dead by emergency personnel on scene.”
