Woman arrested for alleged rape of three-year-old girl

DIEPSLOOT – The mother of the child allegedly noticed she was experiencing pain when urinating.

A woman (23) was arrested by Diepsloot police on February 7 in Ext 10 for the alleged rape of a three-year-old.

Spokesperson for the police Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said the mother allegedly noticed her daughter had trouble urinating as she appeared to be in pain.

“On closer inspection, she allegedly noticed bloodstains on the little girl’s underpants. She then asked her what happened and the girl alleged that her teacher at her crèche inserted a banana in her private parts,” he said.
The suspect was arrested and charged with rape. She will appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on February 11.
