Man arrested for possession of live ammunition and dagga

DIEPSLOOT – Crime Prevention members received the information that led to a suspect’s arrest, and who will soon appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.

A 25-year-old male suspect was arrested in Diepsloot Ext 7 for possession of live ammunition as well as dagga in the early hours of January 26.

Diepsloot Crime Prevention members made the arrest while on duty. They received information about a suspect alleged to be selling live ammunition in Ext 7.
Spokesperson for the Diepsloot police, Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said the members proceeded to the address of the suspect.
“On arrival, search was conducted and the suspect was allegedly found in possession of four live rounds ammunition and sixteen small packets of dagga.
“The suspect was arrested and charged with possession of live ammunition and possession of dagga.”
The suspect will appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on January 27.
