Douglasdale Police Station spokesperson Captain Mpho Tshetlhane said 13 suspects were arrested during an operation between January 21 and 23 in Douglasdale.
Tshetlhane said, “The police arrested 13 suspects during the operation from 21 January to 23 January 2022. Suspects were arrested for different crimes ranging from, rape, common assault, theft, possession of drugs, dealing with liquor without a licence, shoplifting and housebreaking,” she said.
Tshetlhane added that all the suspects appeared in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
She urged community members to report all criminal activities in their respective areas to the police.
