“At primary school, we were motivated by walking long distances from home to school every day. When I was in high school, there was hope for runners to get scholarships, and now the need to support our families and have a better life is what motivates me to train and run every day.

“My wife runs as well. We motivate each other, if she wins a race she gives me hope to fight for top position. My parents always send me words of encouragement before and after races. They understand that there are bad and good days.”

He encouraged young people to consider running as a sport.
“There are many opportunities which come with running that young people can benefit from. Through running, you can get scholarship or even a job.”
