Douglasdale police arrested 14 suspects in weekend operations conducted throughout the area between October 22 and 24.
Douglasdale Police Station spokesperson, Captain Mpho Tshetlhane said the arrested suspects would appear in Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
“They were arrested for crimes including house robbery and kidnapping, assault with intention to cause grievous bodily harm, theft, shoplifting, fraud, drunk and driving, assault common, and reckless and negligent driving,” she added.
Police are appealing to community members to report all criminal activities in their areas by phoning the police, sending an anonymous tip-off using the MySAPS app or going to the nearest police station.
