Learners receive new stationery and school bags
DIEPSLOOT – The newly formed Supa Quick School Bags Donation Drive saw a number of learners at Edu Fun in Diepsloot get new stationery and school bags.
A local school received new stationery and school bags thanks to an initiative run by Supa Quick on September 10.
The company’s initiative, the Supa Quick School Bags Donation Drive, has donated to over 10 schools throughout the country in the last year.
One of the schools that benefited from the drive, Edu Fun Primary School, is an NPO in Diepsloot that partners with Diepsloot Combined School in Diepsloot West which aims to improve English literacy for Grade 2 and 3 learners at the school.
Marketing coordinator Mathapelo Motaung said the company has a deep care for the community ‘and the future of tomorrow’s generation’.
“This initiative is one that is very close to the brand, over the last year we have been donating stationery kits to disadvantaged primary schools and high schools around the country. We have donated over 1 000 kits so far. The pandemic has really hit the communities bad and giving back is very important to us,” she said.
Motaung concluded that they hope to have the donation drive next year.
