Weekend highlights in Fourways

FOURWAYS – The weekend was filled with warm water and sweet treats at a launch as well as fill colour and creative inspiration for a local animal rescue centre.

The weekend of September 18 had two events within the Fourways area. Fourways Review headed to these events in Steyn City and Dainfern. Here are some highlights of Saturday.

September 18: Steyn City
Steyn City launched a new lagoon powered by GAST Clearwater. With the launch of the lagoon saw a number of residents in the area come and enjoy the live music and good food on sale. The morning started relatively cold and cloudy, but as the afternoon came, the sun appeared which encouraged people to swim.

September 18: Dainfern
Farmall-based Husky Rescue South Africa hosted a first-ever painting day fundraiser at Dainfern. The afternoon saw community members choose between painting a husky or a protea flower while enjoying pizza and drinks. Various items and raffle tickets were on sale to raise funds for the NPO.
