Attend the Midrand SPCA’s annual general meeting to share your thoughts on the organisation

GLEN AUSTIN – The Midrand SPCA has invited community members to their annual general meeting which will be held on 17 July at the Ambrosia Hall in Glen Austin, Midrand.


The Midrand SPCA has invited community members to their annual general meeting which will be held on 17 July at the Ambrosia Hall in Glen Austin.

Chairperson of the Midrand SPCA Brenda Lucas said that the meeting will be held at 10am at 97 Allan Road, Glen Austin, Midrand.

Lucas added that all members of the public are welcome to join them, but only paid-up members will be permitted to vote at the AGM.

“Members of the SPCA elect a management committee for the society at our AGM. These members have to comply with certain protocols and must be committed to the prevention of cruelty to animals.

“Local community members serve on the management committee of the SPCA and are responsible for the smooth and legal daily operations of the society, investing their free time, including doing fundraising on behalf of the SPCA.”

Lucas said that at this stage, they are unable to confirm the number of people that may attend their AGM, therefore, any person wanting to attend is kindly requested to reserve their seat by sending an email to info@midrandspca.co.za

“Strict protocols in terms of social distancing and sanitation will be followed and masks are to be worn at all times. Should Covid-19 regulations change and the meeting is not permitted to take place in person, an update will be posted on

our social media sites and via email to our members with an online option to join the meeting.”

Lucas concluded that they would like to say thank you to Ambrosia Hall for hosting their AGM again this year at no charge to their society.
