DIEPSLOOT – A male suspect confessed to a murder he was allegedly involved in on 29 May in Ext 13.

On 30 May, officers from the Diepsloot Police Station arrested a 24-year-old male suspect when he turned himself in after allegedly confessing to a murder.

The suspect allegedly confessed that the murder took place on 29 May in Ext 13.

Spokesperson for the Diepsloot Police Station, Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said they received a report of murder from a local clinic. “On arrival [at the clinic] they found the lifeless body of a male victim with a slit throat. Community members who brought the deceased to the clinic alleged that they had found him lying in a pool of blood, still breathing.

“They rushed him to the clinic and he was sadly certified dead on arrival by emergency personnel.”
