HeronBridge netball girls are excited about new sponsor

Itec Evolve sponsored new netball equipment and kit for the players, as well as a court to play on. Coach of the first team, Ali Bennett said the newly sponsored kit is a definite motivation.


HeronBridge College celebrated their partnership with a new sponsor for their netball girls’ first team’s upcoming season.

Head of co-curricular sports at the school, Phillip Venter, announced the members of the first team on 6 May.

“It’s nice to be kitted out and have that professional look. It makes the girls stand out and look that little bit different. This is indeed a special treat for the girls.”

Head of marketing of HeronBridge, Natasha Marot, echoed Bennett’s thoughts on the girls team getting sponsored.

“It is so great to see netball taken more seriously in getting the recognition is deserves and that is needed. With sponsors like Itec, it makes a difference to the players in showing them that netball is still a career they can aspire to.”

Marketing manager of Itec, Xantel Bekker emphasised the importance of getting involved with education through sports. “We remain dedicated to providing support and continue being involved in local education through sports.”
