Excited to compete

CHARTWELL – Unity College learners competed in a number of sporting activities in their first sports event since 2019.


Learners from Unity College in Chartwell were delighted to compete in their first sports event since 2019.

Parents and staff gathered to watch the learners as they competed in a variety of events on 17 April. The learners participated in bocce, table tennis, relay races and an obstacle course.

Michelle Kirk, the senior admin officer for the school, said that it was exciting for the learners to be able to participate in an event again. Many of the learners, who have comorbidities, have only recently returned to school and the event provided a fun morning for children to be together in a safe setting.
