MIDRAND – Christ Church Preparatory School and College teacher Reece Prinsloo has won his third Basket National League title.

Christ Church Preparatory School and College physical education teacher and sports coach Reece Prinsloo won big in the final of the Basketball National League (BNL).

Prinsloo represented Egoli Magic basketball team which made it to the national league final recently and played against Soweto Panthers. Spokesperson for the school Dawn Schmitz said, “Egoli Magic are the champions, beating the Panthers 85–76. Egoli Magic boasts back-to-back wins of this event.”

Prinsloo said, “It was a great feat for me to be the first player in BNL history to win the league three times in a row, twice as captain.

“To play pro basketball and teach at the same time isn’t easy, but they say work hard for what you want in life. Basketball is my passion and I am now reaping the rewards of what I planted during practice sessions and living a healthy lifestyle.

Prinsloo added, “I am looking forward to my ninth season in the league starting in August/September.”

Schmitz concluded, “We are extremely proud of our sporting staff who continue to shine on both national and international sporting fronts.”
