HeronBridge College celebrate their Class of 2020 matric results

NIETGEDACHT – The 2020 class finished their year with the average of the learners across all subjects being 67.23 per cent.

HeronBridge College celebrated their Class of 2020 matriculants and their outstanding results that were released on 19 February.

HeronBridge College head, Keith Wilke extended his heartiest congratulations to those who finished high school on a strong note.
“We could not be prouder of the way in which our Grade 12s overcame a tumultuous year filled with unexpected hurdles, obstacles, disappointments and loss. They fell, rose, persevered, grew, and they are all stronger for it,” he said.

A special mention went to the school’s top achiever, Daniel Campbell for achieving eight distinctions with an average of 96.1 per cent.
He achieved distinctions in accounting, Afrikaans, English, life orientation, life sciences, maths, science and AP maths. He is also part of the top 1 per cent of Independent Examination Board (IEB) candidates for Afrikaans, English, life sciences, maths and science.

Sarah Copeland and Keagan Kleynhans, who achieved 91 per cent and 89.4 per cent respectively, received an IEB commendable achievement which places them in the top 5 per cent of all learners in five or more subjects and in the top 120 of all learners in the country.
The average for all learners was 67.23 per cent, with an 85 per cent Bachelor’s Degree pass. With the challenges that were presented in 2020, four Grade 12 learners will complete their final year within a few months.
