Diepsloot police arrested three women on 25 January for allegedly shoplifting.
Spokesperson for Diepsloot Police Station, Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said the store’s manager spotted three suspicious-looking women in the store. The manager alerted his colleagues to keep an eye on them.
“On their way out, they were allegedly searched by a female staff member. Twenty-nine pairs of ladies’ sandals to the value of R3 480 were found hidden under their garments,” explained Mathebula.
“The store manager called the police and the suspects were arrested for shoplifting.”
The women appeared in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on 27 January.
