Diepsloot police urge residents to keep safe this festive season

DIEPSLOOT – The police will keep a heavy presence in various areas throughout the days for safety and Covid-19 regulations.

Police have measures to keep residents safe and secure as the festive season approaches.

Spokesperson for Diepsloot Police Station Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said visibility in all malls will be heightened along with stop-and-search roadblocks.

“Night operations are in full swing to prevent the prevalence of house robberies and other serious crimes as well as enforcement of Covid-19 regulations,” he said.

Station Commander of Diepsloot Brigadier Koena Moichela and other senior officers will be leading these operations. “The station has received positive feedback from the community for increased visibility at night. Diepsloot SAPS would like to assure the community that during this festive season and beyond, the police will intensify visibility especially at night to ensure that people feel safe and secure.
