Do a bridge exercise with one leg on a step, say the Schillers

SUNNINGHILL – Local physiotherapist demonstrates another exercise one can do at home.

While staying at home and saving lives, do not forget to do exercises to keep your muscles strong.

Sunninghill physiotherapist Olivia Schiller and her husband Max shared a video online about how one can do a bridge exercise while keeping one foot on a step.

The pair have been posting free exercise videos online to help people exercise at home during the lockdown.

This exercise video starts with Max lying on his back on an exercise mat with his feet up on a step.

He then lifts one leg and bends the knee at a 90-degree angle.

“And then squeeze the glute and lift,” Schiller instructed her husband as he raised and lowered his pelvis in the video.

This exercise can strengthen one’s gluteus maximus, medius and minimus as well as hamstrings.

Recent exercise videos the pair have uploaded included sliders, an advancement of the side plank, the roll-up and more stomach and core exercises.
