Curro gives back on Mandela Day

WATERFALL – Curro Waterfall hosted a car sanitization to gather donations for their Baskets for Light Initiative on Mandela Day.

The local community collaborated with Curro Waterfall to give back on Mandela Day, 18 July.

Executive head of Curro Waterfall Wilfred Bock said, “The Baskets for Light Initiative was launched during the month of May, in support of families that struggle to get by as a result of Covid-19.”

The initiative has been well supported by the Waterfall community, corporate companies and other educational institutions.

Donations are made directly to the school in the form of food items or a complete basket at a cost of R400.”The school got the greater community involved on 18 July when they offered car sanitising and fogging in exchange for food donations towards their initiatives.

Bock concluded, “The appreciation from those that have been receiving the food baskets has been overwhelming.”As an act of solidarity, we will continue with this rewarding initiative, as we believe that we are here to not only make a positive impact on the lives our learners, but also to those in our community.”
