Riba collects donations for SPCAs
KYALAMI – Local stables calls for donations to deliver to SPCAs.
Riba Stables is collecting items to be donated to animal welfare organisations around the city.
Already the Kyalami yard sent a load of donations, enough to fill a vehicle, to Midrand SPCA and has a substantial pile of items ready to go the Johannesburg SPCA in Booysens. Collected items include animal food, cushions, carpets, animal clothes and more.
Stables owner, Barbie Gertenbach encouraged the community to deliver any unused or unwanted items to the yard, which will then make the deliveries to the SPCAs.Midrand SPCA general manager, Pam Pretorius said she is very grateful for the community’s support.
“We are so thankful for the items donated. At the moment, what we need more than anything is monetary donations to keep our day-to-day operations going,” Pretorius said.Riba Stables is situated at 78 Salvia Road, Kyalami.
