Covid-19 : Over 13 000 new coronavirus cases reported

A total of 111 Covid-19-related deaths were reported on 11 July.

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize announced in a statement on 11 July that there have been 13 497 new Covid-19 cases reported.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases to 264 184. There are 127 715 recoveries.

Sadly, on 11 July, there have been 111 Covid-19-related deaths reported. In the Northern Cape there were four deaths, 13 in KwaZulu-Natal, 26 from Gauteng, 30 from the Eastern Cape and 38 from the Western Cape.

This brings the total number of deaths to 3 971.

There have been over 2.1 million tests done for Covid-19, 51 338 of which have been conducted since the previous report.
