Support this young Lipizzaner stallion

KYALAMI – Neapolitano Erem is currently looking for a supporter. Find out how you can help.

The South African Lipizzaners are proud to introduce one of their newest initiates into the young stallions routine – Neapolitano Erem.

Local volunteer Gina Boxley describes the five-year-old as a firm favourite in the young stallions routine, with an exuberant character.

“His enthusiasm for the canter is infectious… and his trot-canter transitions are the very definition of ‘uphill’. Rider sit tight,” said Boxley.

Current rider Kyra Pickering described him as a talented young stallion who is also intelligent and spirited.

“He challenges my abilities as a rider daily, and certainly keeps me on my toes – one of the reasons I love him,” said Pickering.

“He loves to give kisses, sometimes with nibbles, just as you are about to get on… someday I’m sure he will grow out of this.”

Pickering said that Neapolitano Erem, nicknamed Beetle, is a quick learner. “He has the ability to leap off within seconds, leaving you wondering how you got to that side of the arena, but when he concentrates, wow he is simply amazing.

“I look forward to our sessions together and facing all the challenges of riding such a young, vibrant horse. He definitely has a special place in my heart.”
