Montecasino supports a worthy cause
FOURWAYS – Visitors at Montecasino take part in the annual Shavathon.
Visitors at Montecasino got into the spirit of helping out a worthy cause at the annual Cansa Shavathon.
The calm atmosphere on 7 March welcomed everyone who came together for the worthy cause. Young children convinced their parents to let them have their hair sprayed different colours, and some even got unique designs from shaped stencils. Adults also joined in, by either getting their facial hair sprayed or cut even shorter.
A volunteer, Lebo Sikiti said the volunteers who were there are part of employee services, which also organised the Shavathon in aid of cancer to take place at Montecasino, and have been for the last few years. Sikiti welcomed any person intrigued by the Shavathon.
André Fourie, who had his hair shaved, said he takes part in the event every year. “Since moving up here from Bloemfontein, I have been doing my part for the last four years. If it’s for a good cause, then why not.”
