This comes after Ward 94 Councillor David Foley announced on Twitter that some areas would be without water for a few hours as Joburg Water was hard at work repairing a water pipe that distributed water to the area.
The Bryanston reservoir was also switched off in the emergency shutdown.
Onsite at the Fourways water repair, the water should be turned on at the reservoir shortly. Only a small area of Fourways will be out of water for a few more hours tonight. Closing the hole already pic.twitter.com/vjpNokdiRA

Water has been turned on at the Bryanston reservoir. It will take some time to get to all the Fourways areas. Thank you for your patience. The West side of Fourways still needs to be joined, the work continues and should be complete in a few more hours. pic.twitter.com/U3pSb3f7Jc

@CityofJoburgZA I live in fourways Gardens, Roos street , Aquila Estate. We have been without any water supply since friday however a couple of friends in the surrounding areas( Dainfern and Broadacres) have only been experiencing water cuts between 9:00 – 18:00.
