8 injured in a serious taxi crash in Fourways
FOURWAYS – The taxi crash left six people partially injured and two with serious injuries on 27 February.
Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to a serious taxi crash this morning, 27 February on Witkoppen Road towards Rivonia.
Spokesperson for Emer-G-Med Jurgen Kotze said it seemed that the taxi driver lost control. “He bumped into a tree trying to avoid a coffee truck on his left and two other taxis on the right.”
A total of eight patients were transported to the nearest hospital for treatment. “Out of the eight, two of the patients were seriously injured – one of them is a pregnant lady and the other one had a leg injury.”
Local authorities were on scene for investigations.
