Local singer Marianthe Panas hits all the right notes

LONEHILL – As her second single is released to the public, Lonehill-based singer Marianthe Panas has advice for other youngsters who want to enter the music industry.

Are you interested in entering the arts as a profession? One local singer gives readers advice about what you can do to reach your dreams in the world of entertainment.

In the most recent edition of the Fourways Review, we brought you the story of Marianthe Panas, the 18-year-old Lonehill resident who released her second single Over You at the beginning of February (Local singer Marianthe hits all the right notes, published Week ending 21 February).

Panas’ love for the stage and singing began at a young age. She got her first solo in a school concert in Grade 1, won a spot in the Born To Perform show at 14 years old and made it to third place on SA’s Got Talent at 16-years-old. But it isn’t luck that gets you a great career, it’s hard work and determination.

“My advice to other youngsters who want to get into the industry is to always have ambition and strive for what you want,” she told the Fourways Review recently. “You can’t sit around and wait for your career to happen, you have to make it happen.”

“In this industry, the greats want to work with people who have a love for what they are doing and are willing to put in the work, so be ambitions!”

Panas’ latest track is available across all streaming services, and you are also welcome to follow her on social media.
