Sharing is caring for moms

FOURWAYS – New mothers from Witkoppen Clinic offer support to one another.

Sharing is caring – and it’s especially true for the moms of the Witkoppen Clinic support group.

Being a mother is a tough job, and all too often women forget that they have an identity outside of motherhood. That’s why Cuddlers, Witkoppen Clinic, and the Fourways Review, under the banner of Caxton Cares, wanted to do something to enact change.

In these sessions, mothers come together in support of one another. They share experiences and coping mechanisms with moms who have been, or are going through, a similar situation. Murray Booth, the marketing executive at Cuddlers, really admires the dedication of the moms and wanted to pay it forward and give back to them.

“Mothers give so much with so little in return. We wanted to change that and create a space where we can bring the focus and care back to them, so that they know they are not alone,” said Booth.

The sessions run bi-monthly on Thursdays.

When: 20 February at 10:00am

Where: Witkoppen Clinic, 105 William Nicol Drive.
