South Africans have been left voicing their frustrations after it was revealed that Lay’s has discontinued its salt and vinegar flavour.

Salt and vinegar lovers were not having it and decided to let Lay’s know exactly what they thought about it.

Hi @LailaManie, unfortunately, Lay’s Salt & Vinegar Flavour has been discontinued and will no longer be available in the market. We however invite you to try our new Lay’s Sweet and Smoky American BBQ Flavour. We do hope you enjoy our other flavours from our range too. :)

I’m sad about the salt & vinegar Lays flavor be discontinued .
And these ‘thank god’ tweets are confusing me because you weren’t forced to buy or eat them?! Or any other existing salt and vinegar chips- so like.. why are you bothered by their existence?

Someone who seems to be really fond of the flavour has decided to start an online petition. The petition has only nine signatures so far but people are slowly signing it to bring back the flavour. Only 100 signatures are needed.
