Caxton shows its support for amazing community initiatives

FOURWAYS – Caxton Local Media, under the Caxton Cares banner, has supported various community initiatives.

Over the past year Caxton Local Media, under the Caxton Cares banner, has lent its support to some amazing initiatives within the community. We’ve rounded up some of the initiatives we supported this year:

1. Caxton donates food for the hungry

In October the Caxton Greater Joburg North branch donated loaves of bread to the Sisters of Mercy Immaculata Hall to commemorate International Food Day. Read more here:

2. We Care About Mums

Caxton Cares has partnered with the Witkoppen Clinic to offer new mums a support group. Experts in various fields lead the sessions to give the mums the skills they need to prepare for the different stages in childcare as well as skills to uplift them as individuals within a community. 3. Caxton supports good cause

It was a chance for the Fourways Review staff to show their hearts when the Caxton Cares team took part in the Cansa Shavathon hosted at Montecasino. The Fourways Review team, under the Caxton Cares banner, supported this fight by taking part in the second annual Montecasino Shavathon. Read more here:

4. Caxton Cares donates to Wheel Well

Caxton Local Media Joburg North and Autodealer, under the umbrella of Caxton Cares, gave a special donation to assist child road safety advocacy group Wheel Well on 23 January. Read more here:

5. Caxton Cares joins the reading revolution with #readbecause on World Book Day

Caxton Cares has supported the initiative by the South African National Book Council in a partnership to champion reading in South Africa. On 23 April, World Book Day launched the #readbeacuse campaign and, along with various organisations including Caxton Cares, are championing reading promotion in South Africa and engaging citizens on why reading for leisure is so important.
