Police are on the hunt for cash-in-transit suspects

DIEPSLOOT – Police hunt cash-in-transit robbery suspects.

Police are searching for suspects who were involved in the cash-in-transit robbery that took place on Monday, 18 November.

Fifteen suspects in three vehicles allegedly attacked a security van that was travelling from Fourways, with explosives and fled shortly after taking an undisclosed amount of money. Police spokesperson, Colonel Brenda Muridili said the driver sustained minor injuries while the crew member he was driving with, was left unharmed.

“Unfortunately, we have not made any arrest yet,” she said. “All the necessary role players were on the scene and we hope there will be developments soon,” said Muridili.

Police are still investigating.
