Plenty of puppies available from Pets

JOHANNESBURG – Here are some of the dogs Pets has up for adoption this week.

Volunteers with the Pet Empowerment in the Township (Pets) organisation work with communities to improve the lives disadvantaged animals by giving them daily meals, warm shelters, regular inoculations, sterilisations and vet care in emergencies and also rehomes the ones that are unwanted, unloved or lost.

Please note that Spotty (an 18-month-old female) has recently had a leg amputated and will have special needs.

If you are interested in adopting any of these dogs, please email [email protected]. You will then receive an adoption application which first needs to be completed and returned to us. Pets will then arrange for you to meet the animal you are interested in and do a home check. If the home check is approved and you like the animal, the adoption is approved.

Pets also has a number of cats and kittens available for adoption. The adoption fee for both dogs and cats is R600 and includes their vaccinations, deworming, flea treatments as well as their sterilisation and microchipping.
