Female-owned clinic opens
MIDRAND – The Curewise Medical Centre officially opened on 19 October.
Female-owned Curewise Medical Centre hosted their grand opening on 19 October.
The Medical Centre is a female-owned business initiated by dentist Dr Ruth Rammopo and general practitioner Dr Mpho Mahlangu with a team of medical professionals including dermatologist Dr Myhanyisi Mukansi, dietician ReaBetjoe Mokoko, physiotherapist Thobeka Zilwa, nurse Thokozile Kgongwana and general practitioner Dr Rose Mabotja.

Dr Rammopo said, “Curewise is a black and female-owned medical centre. We give the community a one-stop-shop for incredible medical care.”

She added that Dr Mahlangu and herself had discussed the possibility of opening a medical clinic for the Midrand community. “There are many medical centres where there are three GPs and three dentists, and we came together to create a space where the local community can feel safe. We created a family atmosphere.

“Our aim is to see healthy people in Midrand with a focus on preventative care.”

Dr Mahlangu said that the centre gives the community holistic medical care with a common passion for family and health among all the doctors on the staff.

Dr Rammapo added, “Our message, as a female-run centre, is that women can do it. Our centre is only women, we are mothers and give the community great health.

“We want to empower young women by opening this centre.”
