Hirsch’s pulls out all the stops

PINESLOPES – Margaret Hirsch and social media influencer Allegro Dinkwanyane cooked up a storm for the launch of the Whirlpool Supreme Chef microwave.

Hirsch’s Fourways recently hosted appliance giant Whirlpool for the launch of their Supreme Chef microwave in Gauteng, with chief operating officer of the Hirsch Group, Margaret Hirsch and social media influencer, Allegro Dinkwanyane preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in the Supreme Chef to showcase how simple and quick it can be done.

The crowd was excited to be a part of the interactive cooking demo and received tasters throughout the morning. Margaret’s vegan menu started off the morning with phyllo pastry cup snacks with different fillings that included asparagus and grilled pepper, guacamole and tomato and risotto.

The main dish consisted of a coconut curry and for dessert, orange and coconut cake was served. Dinkwanyane created flat-head mushrooms with lemon and garlic which complimented her main perfectly – a salmon and asparagus dish. For snacks in-between, she made her famous sticky chicken wings before she ended the day with a sticky toffee pudding.

“The aromas from the wonderful creations filled the store and drew shoppers to the stand,” explained Marjone Barnard, the public relations officer for the Hirch’s Fourways stall.

“Some lucky attendees walked away with Hirsch’s cookbooks and Whirlpool giveaways as lucky draw prizes.”

Hirsch’s and Whirlpool are already preparing for the Cape Town and Durban launches. One lucky customer will walk away with a Supreme Chef at the end of the three launches.
