Help Douglasdale police identify a body

DOUGLASDALE – Police urge community to assist in identifying a body and hopefully solve a case.


The police in Douglasdale are looking for the family of an unknown woman in her 30s whose body was found along the corner of Cedar and Lombardy roads in Broadacres on 20 August at about 7.45 am.

It is alleged that the body was discovered by a passer-by who then alerted the police. She was certified dead at the scene. The cause of death is still unknown and an inquest docket has been opened.

Police are still investigating. “There are currently no new developments since we found the body. We are also still waiting for the body to be identified,” said Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, spokesperson for the Douglasdale Police Station.

The police have appealed to community members with unaccounted or missing relatives to come forward.
