FOURWAYS – Luminesce Events collaborates with Montecasino to help raise funds for Owl Rescue Centre by hosting Lion King Movie Night.

Following the recent article, Owl rescue centre appeals for help [Week ending 14 June], Luminesce Events is hosting a Lion King movie night fundraiser aimed at assisting the Owl Rescue Centre with the much-needed funds.
The fundraiser will take place at movies@ Montecasino on Wednesday, 24 July. Doors will be open from 7pm and guests are encouraged to be seated inside the cinema at 7.45pm as there will be a lucky draw before the film, with the movie scheduled to start at 8pm.
All proceeds will go to the Owl Rescue Centre to help them succeed in their mission to rescue, rehabilitate and release owls.
Founder of Owl Rescue Centre, Brendan Murray expressed his excitement ahead of the event. “I think that it is wonderful that an event company has taken the initiative to help Owl Rescue Centre with much-needed funds.
“We do not charge for the rescue work that we do, so therefore these types of initiatives are our lifeline and we look forward to a magical evening with people who share our love for owls.”
Part of the organising committee is Antoinette Nothling who explained why they decided to host the movie. “We thought a movie premiere might be the best, especially, at this time of the year and we contacted Montecasino. Luckily they came on board and they are assisting us.
“We are very fortunate that we also have two businesses in Fourways that will be giving us prizes for the lucky draw.”
Nothling further elaborated on what they are hoping to achieve, “This is to raise awareness with other people about the owl rescue and also raise cash for the operating of the owl rescue and other projects that they do.”
