About 9 000 people have voted in Ward 94 so far, according to Councillor Foley

FOURWAYS – Here's an update on how voting in three wards within the Fourways area is going this afternoon.

Despite the onset of chilly weather this afternoon, 8 May, community members are continuing to stream into voting stations to make their mark.

Journalist Robyn Kirk visited voting stations in wards 92 and 94.

For the most part, things seemed to be running smoothly, however, Ward 94 councillor, David Foley pointed out that in the early afternoon, there was an issue with the scanner at Crawford College Lonehill which had stopped working, however, another was then put in place and the process resumed.

Resident Brydone Graham cast his vote at St Peter’s Preparatory School in Ward 93 earlier this afternoon, 8 May, and remarked that the process was smooth, taking him about 30 minutes to vote.

This afternoon, the queue at St Peter’s Preparatory School in Paulshof was not too long, and it took resident Brydone Graham just 30 minutes to queue and cast his vote.
