Douglasdale police begin Police Sundays campaign
FOURWAYS – Douglasdale CPF embarked on a crime awareness campaign to different churches around Douglasdale.
Members of corporate communication, sector managers and social crime prevention went on a crime awareness campaign to different churches around Douglasdale policing precinct on 28 April.
This was in support of the Police Divine Intervention movement. The acting station commander of the Douglasdale Police Station, Colonel Moeti Senna was present at the first-ever Police Sundays campaign.
“The purpose of the campaign was to sensitise the community about crime, the prevention thereof and to spread the idea of police community good working relationship,” read the statement released by the Douglasdale CPF.
The Douglasdale CPF said that about three churches from different sectors of the Douglasdale policing area were visited and added that the police were welcomed by the pastors and the congregants.
“The police will continue with these activities to make sure that our area is a safer place for all,” concluded the statement.
