CPF hand out Easter eggs to motorists

LONEHILL – The Douglasdale CPF Sector 4 team, councillor Candice James and the JMPD banded together recently to keep Lonehill safe in the face of the Easter weekend.

As the long Easter weekend approached, the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) Sector 4 partnered with ward councillor Candice James and the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) to conduct a crime awareness campaign in the Lonehill area.

The campaign was held on 12 April and took place along Lonehill Boulevard, where about 900 motorists and pedestrians received an Easter egg along with a brochure detailing safety information from the campaigners.

“We thank the members of the community for their positive response and smiles,” said Freda Boiles, the chairperson for CPF Sector 4 in a social media post about the campaign.

“Thank you to councillor James, Inspector Singh and all the JMPD officers involved.

“Sector 4 CPF wishes to extend its best holiday wishes to all and to remind those who will be travelling on our nation’s roads to take all precautions and arrive at your destinations safely.”
