Church offers prayer on Global Youth Day

DOUGLASDALE – The officers of Relief C got a special visit recently when members of the local Seventh Day Adventist Church visited the Douglasdale Police Station.

In celebration of Global Youth Day (16 March) members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, located in Sector 1, held a divine intervention prayer session for Relief C at the Douglasdale Police Station recently.

The church thanked the police officers for ensuring the safety and security of the local community and also donated fruit and bibles to Relief C.

During the visit, police encouraged the young people in the community to work with them by joining the Douglasdale police Youth Crime Prevention Desk as a way to change the mindsets of other young people in the area and find ways to deal with the challenges currently facing the youth.

The session ended with hymns and prayers for the members of the station.

“The police would like to thank the church for the words of encouragement and positive inspirations,” said Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, spokesperson for the station.

“We are looking forward to a good working relationship with the other churches in our area.”
