ICYMI: Douglasdale police hold community meeting in Chartwell

CHARTWELL – Residents expressed their concerns about the high number of armed robberies resulting in victims sustaining injuries.

Douglasdale Police Station management held a community meeting on the evening of 28 March in Chartwell to discuss the increase of crime in the areas of Chartwell, Farmall, Millgate and surrounding areas.

Station commander Brigadier Sammy Thambo and his senior commanders and sector commanders represented the station and addressed residents.

The Douglasdale CPF said on their Facebook page that residents voiced their concerns through a question and answer session and the major issue that came up was the high number of armed robberies resulting in injuries sustained by victims.

A plan of action was drawn up and handed to all parties. Douglasdale CPF thanked all those who attended.
