Schoolchildren have a splash

BEVERLEY – The Bridge Assisted Learning School had some splashing fun recently when they invited Trinityhouse Northriding and Maragon Avianto swimmers to a friendly gala


The Bridge School in Beverley got into the swimming spirit and hosted a friendly gala for nearby schools on 22 February.

The school invited Trinityhouse Northriding and Maragon Avianto in Muldersdrift to take part.

The weather was absolutely perfect on the day and the swimmers were excited to participate and compete. Fun was had by every swimmer and the lively crowd of supporters cheered every child in every race to swim their fastest and finish well.

Thokozani Phakathi may be young, but he’s brave enough to take on a swim.

The Bridge has been encouraging its learners to spend more time in the water with the recent introduction of a swimming club for the children who attend the school.
