According to ER24, a man believed to be in his 60s was left critically injured on 20 February, after a shooting at his home in Fourways.
ER24 received an emergency call and the paramedics met with the patient en route and escorted him to Life Fourways Hospital.
The man was assessed by hospital staff and paramedics who found that he had sustained gunshot wounds to the neck and chest, which left him in critical condition. He was treated for his injuries, provided life support interventions and left in the care of the hospital.
ER24 added that local authorities were reportedly on the initial scene.
