JMPD and Malawian delegation conduct roadblock
JOBURG – Malawian delegation joins JMPD Chief, David Tembe on a roadblock operation.
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) conducted a roadblock on Thursday night in an attempt to curb lawlessness in the city.
JMPD officers together with Chief David Tembe were joined by the Malawian delegation who is on a study tour in the country. The delegation is interested in knowing how the Metro police department was established and also how it operates.
The delegation was shown how the automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) bus and the evidential breath alco test (EBAT) system operates. ANPR scans false number plates, stolen vehicles, cloned vehicles, roadworthiness of the vehicle and fraudulent licence disks.
