Matriculants at Crawford College Lonehill give some advice to those starting their schooling career

The Fourways Review asked some Crawford College Lonehill's matrics what advice they would give to children starting their school career.

Grade 12 learners have begun their academic year so the Fourways Review asked some of the matriculants at Crawford College Lonehill what advice they would give to children in Grade 1 or in Grade 8 who are at the beginning of their school career.

This is what they had to say …

JOSHUA WARD: It’s good to push yourself, but it’s also important to step back and make sure you’re okay. So my advice is to put your health and happiness before academics.
IMOGEN CAPEL: I gave this advice to my little sister – it’s important to find a balance between academics and being mentally okay. You should engage in different activities and sports.
TSHIMO BOIKHUTSO: My advice is to stay focused on your goals – like my mom says, ‘keep your eye on the ball’ but also remember to make friends with people who will support you.
SHOLA ADELUSI: I would say don’t be intimidated by the size of your school! You are still the same person and you can definitely still make an impact if you try.
